Sunday Morning Book Discussion

being_cov

Every Sunday following service, we have discussion about Zen, Buddhism, and practice using a selected reading as focal point and springboard. Our current text is given below.

Being Upright: Zen Meditation and the Bodhisattva Precepts
Reb Anderson

A contemporary teacher illuminates the way of Zen ethical practice in the modern world informed by the insights passed down from Buddha, Bodhidharma, and Dogen, and Shunryu Suzuki.

Beginning on October 9th, we will explore this text over the course of sixteen Sunday discussion periods. Please note: there is no discussion on the first Sunday of each month, when we have a half-day zazenkai.

Reb Anderson Roshi teaches at the San Francisco Zen Center's three training centers (City Center, Green Gulch Farm, and Tassajara Zen Mountain Center), as well as travels to lead retreats throughout the United States and abroad. For more information, visit www.rebanderson.org.
